Salt Lake City, UT, September 11, 2023. Al Zapanta, President and CEO of the USMCOC, Scott Anderson, USMCOC Binational Member and Dennis Tenney, President the Inter-Mountain Chapter of the U.S. Mexico Chamber of Commerce, hosted a luncheon in honor of Consul Eduardo Baca Cuenca, in the impressive Zions Bank Building Founders Room in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah. 

The luncheon was well attended, including several leading business and government executives, including Binational Member Deseret Management Corporation Sr. VP, Gary Porter, Jonathan Freedman, President and CEO of the World Trade Center of Utah, Ryan Starks, Executive Director of the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity and others.  

Mr. Zapanta gave the group a very good overview of the accomplishments of the U.S. Mexico Chamber of Commerce and Consul Baca led an enlightening discussion on the progress of bilateral relations between Mexico and the U.S. and Utah in particular.  A constructive dialog of questions and answers was discussed.  Considerable goodwill building and networking exchanges took place as well.  Consul Baca was honored and very pleased with the reception which he received from the U.S. Mexico Chamber of Commerce and all the distinguished guests who joined the event.
