The United States–Mexico Chamber of Commerce (USMCOC) and the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) marked a significant milestone for North American economic cooperation with the formal signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between USMCOC President & CEO Maj. Gen. Albert Zapanta (USA-Ret.) and USHCC President & CEO Ramiro Cavazos.

The agreement establishes a stronger framework for collaboration between two influential organizations committed to advancing trade, investment, entrepreneurship, and economic development throughout North America.

With its extensive binational network of chapters across the United States and Mexico, the USMCOC has long played a leading role in strengthening commercial relations between both countries. The USHCC, representing one of the nation’s largest networks of Hispanic chambers of commerce and Hispanic-owned businesses, brings an equally powerful platform dedicated to promoting economic growth and opportunity across the United States.

Together, the two organizations will work to expand business connectivity, encourage cross-border partnerships, support supply chain integration, and create new opportunities for businesses operating within the North American market.

As the United States, Mexico, and Canada continue addressing major trade policy shifts and the evolving implementation of the USMCA—collaborative efforts between business organizations have become increasingly important to maintaining the region’s global competitiveness.

“This agreement reflects our shared commitment to strengthening economic ties, promoting innovation, and creating meaningful opportunities for businesses and entrepreneurs across North America,” said Maj. Gen. Albert Zapanta, President & CEO of the United States–Mexico Chamber of Commerce.

The Memorandum of Understanding highlights the importance of private-sector leadership in fostering stronger regional integration and advancing long-term prosperity for the business communities of both nations.
