THE UNITED STATES-MEXICO CHAMBER OF COMMERCE IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THE RECIPIENTS OF THE PRESTIGIOUS “GOOD NEIGHBOR INSPIRATIONAL AWARD” TO BE PRESENTED DURING THE GOOD NEIGHBOR AWARDS GALA SCHEDULED FOR SEPTEMBER 21, 2022 AT THE ORGANIZATION OF AMERICAN STATES HEADQUARTERS, IN WASHINGTON, D.C.
PRIVATE SECTOR AWARD LEADERSHIP

Mr. A. Scott Anderson, President and CEO, Zions Bank – In appreciation of his efforts to bring awareness of the strong trade and business ties between the State of Utah and Mexico and promote the expansion of economic opportunities in the North American region. The Chamber also recognizes his leadership in the banking sector, by setting up the highest standards of service, inclusion and opportunities for minorities and small business owners.

Mr. Eugenio Sevilla Sacasa, Vice President of International Supply Chain Solutions, Ryder System, Inc. – In appreciation of the more than 20 years that he has served on the Binational Board of Directors of the Chamber, and for his commitment to supporting the Chamber’s mission of fostering good business relations between the U.S. and Mexico.

With this Award, we also recognize his crucial role in the expansion of Ryder in Mexico, leading Ryder System to be one of the top logistics and transportation companies in North America, providing innovative solutions to cross-border supply chain challenges.

PUBLIC SECTOR LEADERSHIP AWARD

The Honorable Alejandro Murat Hinojosa, Governor of the State of Oaxaca –In recognition of his tireless efforts to position the State of Oaxaca as an entity with industrial potential and for investing in the development of infrastructure to improve Oaxaca’s connection to global supply chains and take advantage of the trade channels and economic development opportunities offered by the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement.  

The Honorable Henry Cuellar, United States Congressman, 28th District of Texas – The Chamber acknowledges his legacy of nearly 20 years in U.S. Congress, in which he has brought better understanding and awareness of the unique complexities of the U.S.-Mexico border region, and his diligent work to bring solutions to the table to facilitate border trade, without losing sight of the socio-cultural elements present in the border communities.
