U.S.-Mexico Chamber of Commerce President Maj. Gen. Albert Zapanta Meets with U.S. Ambassador to Mexico Ronald D. Johnson in Mexico City

Mexico City, Mexico — Maj. Gen. (USA-Ret.) Albert Zapanta, President and CEO of the United States-Mexico Chamber of Commerce, met with U.S. Ambassador to Mexico, the Honorable Ronald D. Johnson, on Monday, June 30, 2025, in Mexico City.

Both Ambassador Johnson and General Zapanta share a distinguished background as veterans of the U.S. Army Special Forces—commonly known as the "Green Berets"—bringing a unique perspective rooted in leadership, discipline, and service.

In a meaningful and forward-looking dialogue, the two leaders discussed shared priorities and opportunities to strengthen bilateral ties between the United States and Mexico. Their conversation emphasized a mutual commitment to fostering a more prosperous and integrated economic relationship between our two nations.
