Mexico’s Niche & Cultural Immersion Travel:

Early Resilience and Longer-Term Outlook – NY

Wednesday, October 28, 2020

4:30 PM- 5:40 PM (Eastern Time)

Travel and Tourism has been one of the hardest-hit industries by COVID-19 and its rebound is expected to be uneven and at a different pace for each of its segments.
Customized and cultural tourism, particularly in the higher income subsegment, has shown to be more resilient against the pandemic and expected to have an earlier recovery when compared to general market tourism. The decrease in global luxury tourism revenues is forecasted to be less pronounced than other segments.
Mexico has been gaining international recognition and increasing its offer for this specific segment. Likewise, public and private sectors are coordinating efforts to adapt and comply with standards aimed at a fast recovery and to continue with infrastructure development and investment attraction to meet medium and long-term recovery, positioning and growth goals.
Hear from industry leaders and authorities about the perspectives of resilience and development, as well as business and investment challenges and opportunities in this market segment of the tourism industry for niche and higher income travelers.
