June 25, 2019 – Washington, D.C. – Albert Zapanta, President and CEO of the United States-Mexico Chamber of Commerce, was invited to witness the signing of President Donald Trump Executive Order to establish a White House Council on Eliminating Barriers to Affordable Housing Development. The council will consist of members from across 8 Federal agencies and will be chaired by Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Ben Carson.
This new council will engage with State, local, and tribal leaders to identify and remove obstacles that impede the development of new affordable housing.
Maj. Gen. Albert Zapanta (Ret.) is also Councilman for the City of Irving, Texas, where he resides with his wife Rochelle. He was elected in June 2018 to serve for a three year period.
