The United States – Mexico Chamber of Commerce will be hosting our annual Binational Conference & Buen Vecino Awards Gala, October 28-29, 2014, at the St. Regis Hotel in Mexico City.
The title of this year’s meeting is “Mexico Reforms: Future Opportunities and Challenges”, and its designed to discuss how Mexico is preparing for the future, especially now that transcendent reforms have taken place in the energy and telecommunications sector, in addition to the labor, fiscal and education reforms, which are creating enormous interest to domestic and foreign investors, who will require highly trained technicians and professionals to keep up with the changes in the afore mentioned industries and the Mexican economy.
Our 2014 “Buen Vecino Award Gala” will take place the evening of Wednesday October 29 in Mexico City, and it promises to be an exciting event. This year, we are presenting the award to Monte Alejandro Rubido García, Mexico’s Commissioner of National Security, Jerry Patterson, Texas Land Commissioner from the U.S., and Eduardo Ramos-Gómez, Managing Partner, Duane Morris LLP, and President of the USMCOC-Northeast Chapter. Prior to our Conference and Gala, we are presenting our Board Members the opportunity to attend “Mexico Business Summit” and extraordinary forum which this year is entitled “Tapping into Mexico`s New Sources of Growth”, and it will focus on the reforms engineered by the Peña Nieto administration as well as the improvement of economic prospects in the U.S., Asia-Pacific, and Europe, which are now generating the conditions for Mexico to enter a new phase of economic dynamism and sustained growth creation.
