ALBERT ZAPANTA, PRESIDENT & CEO OF THE USMCOC RECEIVES LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT US-MEXICO LEADERSHIP AWARD FROM THE NMCAL

May 11, 2017.- Washington, D.C. The National Museum of Catholic Art & Library (NMCAL) celebrated their 5th Annual Roman Gala, on the occasion of the “100 Anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima.” The gala was held at the Embassy of Italy in Washington, DC, on Thursday, May 11, 2017.

Albert Zapanta, President of the U.S.-Mexico Chamber of Commerce, received the Lifetime Achievement US- Mexico Leadership Award from the NMCAL.

Other awardees were Juan Antonio González Moreno, Chairman and CEO of Gruma Corporation, parent company of Mission Foods. González Moreno, who is also a Board Member of the USMCOC, received the Lifetime Achievement Global Business Awards

Among the special guests were the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, Wilbur Ross.

Former Secretary of Veteran Affairs Jim Nicholson also Former U.S. Ambassador to the Vatican was the Master of Ceremonies, along with Christina Cox, NMCAL Founder and President. NMCAL’S Art Awards was given to Thomas Kinkade (posthumous), Zachary Thomas Kinkade, and Deborah Stone.

The National Museum of Catholic Art and Library– is a DC-based museum created for the collection and preservation of Catholic art. The gala will raise funds for the first National Catholic Museum, to be located in Northeast Washington, D.C.
